Since 1983, The Met Golfer, the award winning official publication of the Metropolitan Golf Association, has positioned itself as the nation’s top regional golf magazine. Written by the MGA’s editorial board, led by chairman Tony Wimpfheimer and Les Schupak, The Met Golfer directly reaches over 95,000 homes of avid core golfers with each issue.

The Met Golfer is written specifically for the Met Area golfer and concentrates on local events, news, people and issues in the golfing community. Regular features include articles on clubs & courses, instruction, the Rules of Golf, and golf travel destinations. 

The Met Golfer is published five times a year and is free to all members of MGA member clubs.  To obtain a paid subscription, $20 for a two-year subscription, contact the MGA office at (914) 347-4653 or via email at mgagolf@mgagolf.org.

Meet the Editor

Greg Midland, formerly of Golf Magazine, is the new editor of The Met Golfer. Greg was with Golf Magazine for ten years, serving as Senior Editor and as former Associate Editor of Golfonline.com, its official website. He has co-authored or edited several golf books including Better By Saturday, published in 2004. “Greg brings a wealth of talent, vitality and perspective to this position that fits perfectly with the MGA and PGA Magazine’s vision for the future of The Met Golfer. We are delighted to have him on board,” said MGA Communications Director, Jeanne McCooey.
